CRAIGSLIST – Search the FREE section of Craiglist. You might occassionally find FREE paint or FREE traditional art supplies. However, use your creativity and think outside the box! I just searched and found some things that could be used in projects – FREE confetti for craft projects, FREE Paint, a FREE “How to Draw” Book and FREE Bamboo that could be used for something cool! Do a search for “art” or “paint” to see what you can find in the FREE section!
Criags List also devotes an entire Community Section to Artists! Anything art related can be posted here for FREE! People do list FREE supplies, FREE artwork, FREE job postings and FREE advertisements for art and art shows. You could also place a post here requesting FREE art supplies and materials.

I’m a recovering addict who has been clean now for 5 years. I have been playing piano for over 15 years but lost my will to keep playing music. I really want to get into making art like comics, manga, realism, painting etc. to express myself, but because I don’t have a job from a felony I received 10 years ago, I can’t afford lessons, classes, or art supplies. While this blog was very helpful, it still missed the mark for me when it came to actually getting started.

Paul, I’m praying for you dear. Absolutely it’s tough, this is something we’ve never experienced, we all must come together in distance to support one another. I’m not sure your faith, beliefs, or views, I ask that you stand strong and know that things could always be much worse. I am a strong believer in God, I am a living testimony, I can write books of my life story, from loosing a child and my parents, belong homeless, selling candy to coke. God has changed me, God has brought me through and God isn’t finished yet. I say take nothing or know one for granted, be grateful for what we have, who we have, why we have them, do no selfish or selfless harm to any, think of whom your hurting and you’ll be missed by. Stay strong hang in there God has a plan for you, when it’s your time let God call you home.

I’m Nikki, I am a Bay Area artist. This is one of my passions.
I have had the opportunity And having some of my work in galleries as well as entered a contest and received accolades for my projects.
I had tons of artwork as well as artwork from great artists all over the world unfortunately my trailer was stolen a few months back that had all of my work and materials inside.
When the trailer was found it was not in any condition livable it is now salvaged as well as all of my belongings which was thousands of dollars worth of belongings besides the art equipment inside.
If I could receive any help I would be grateful even as little as a tube of paint I really want to get back into what I enjoy.
During the loss was a huge tragedy for me it sent me in a dark place but I know I have to stay strong and move on I came to a realization that whoever the person was that had stole it must have needed the things more than I did so I have given it to God and decided to not worry or have a bit of concerned anything is replaceable for the most part.
I backtracked to the location where the trailer was found I then spoke to a gentleman who is homeless who lives in the same area he actually knew the individual who had stolen my trailer arts memorabilia and household items this gentleman in particular had a couple of my paintings and tops of my tye dyed projects. Did you know mom was so humble even in the mist of him being under the influence he felt my pain he did give me one of my paintings that he purchased allegedly from the thief he also had given me one of my tie-dyed shirts that meant a lot to me I was inspired by the gentleman the work that he does and he expressed how he really enjoys my work and was glad to meet me. He enjoys painting also, he uses anything he finds to paint on and with. With his story, well I have to admit, I felt sorry for the gentleman. I decided that I would tie dye items for him even a hat that was mine, he asked if I could tie dye it for him yes I did and I had given it to him. I said one day I will come and pair with you, he gave me his number, when time heals and we’re clear I’ll mask up and gloves on and paint with him.
I know everything happens for a reason nothing is in-coincidental I know I have a calling my calling is to help others my blessings will continue to come thank you.
