FREE after Office Depot Rewards Certificate! Energizer Max Alkaline AA or AAA Batteries, 16pk
You know that you will need tons of FREE Batteries with Christmas coming soon!
So, in July Office Depot switched up their rewards program and hasn’t really had any FREE After Rebate – Rewards items since then.
Currently, Office Depot Rewards members can buy selected Energizer Batteries (AA and AAA 16 Packs – Items #210106 and 210142) and get 1599 rewards points for each package purchase. Limit 2 per member.
For every 1000 points you get a FREE $10 Reward Certificate to redeem with Office Depot. That essentially makes them FREE.
Office Depot Customer service confirmed “the promotion offer for 100 points back per $1 spent on 2 battery skus 210106 and 210142 is valid from 9/15/13 – 9/28/13 11:59 PM ET and it is only for online by phone or fax and not valid for store purchase.” Note that the Office Depot website states that the offer is valid through 9/21/13.

Their new rewards program is called, simply Office Depot Rewards instead of Worklife Rewards. With the new program you will receive a $10 Rewards Certificate for every 1,000 points earned. Here’s the part that I don’t like “Point balances less than 1,000 carry over from month to month through the end of the calendar quarter. Balances of less than 1,000 points expire at the end of each quarter. For example, if at the end of the quarter you have 2,800 points, you will receive a $20 Rewards certificate for your 2,000 points and the remaining 800 points will expire.” AND you don’t earn rewards on all purchases. Just select purchases as well as ink, toner, paper and copy/print/ship services.
Hopefully when Office Depot and OfficeMax merge they will choose to NOT adopt this program as the new combined program.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the limit is 2 and expire date is the 21st.

Thanks for the update. I updated the post. Although customer service did email me that the offer is valid through 9/28/13 AND they also said that there is NO LIMIT, even though it says that there is a limit of 2.
