This freebie is no longer available! Mammoth mountain just bought Bear Mountain and Snow Summit and did away with the free birthday lift ticket.
I know because I went there for my birthday on Dec. 27th and had to pay full price for my lift ticket.
I went yesterday, 1/19/2016 and got my free birthday lift ticket with no hassles. Just go up guest services and show them your id and they print out a lift ticket for you.
The year mammoth bought out big bear they cancelled the birthday lift ticket deal (2015), but they reinstated this deal 2016 the very next year.(2016) so as of 1-2-2017 the free birthday ticket is still valid
