FREE STUFF FROM LIVESTRONG & LANCE ARMSTRONG!
If you haven’t heard of LIVESTRONG you must be living under a rock! The organization that Lance Armstrong pioneered for the fight against cancer is a HUGE fundraising success with the popular rubber yellow wristbands (Buy them here to show your support!)
Did you know that LIVESTRONG also has a web site that is loaded with FREE health tools, FREE Fitness advice, FREE Diet & Nutrition Videos and Articles and even an entire Inspiration section! But what I really want to share with you is the FREE Daily Plate, which is essentially a FREE Calorie Tracker!
Daily Plate is an online based FREE tracking program of what you eat every day and its nutritional value. You start with the FREE calculator that determines your daily calorie requirement based on your age, height and weight. It also asks for your weight goals (lose 2 pounds per week, maintain weight, etc.). Once that’s entered you keep track of your meals and snacks using a FREE online journal of the foods on a daily basis as well as your physical activity for the day. You enter the foods and search the FREE database of hundreds of thousands of food items to retrieve the nutritional information. Daily Plate then calculates your intake in relation to your physical activity and recommended intake to determine if you are on track to achieve your weight goal! You still have to have discipline but the FREE Daily Plate will point you in the right direction. It’s like having a FREE fitness advisor!
There are numerous FREE tools that you can use that are generated from the info that you enter including FREE graphs, FREE Reports and a FREE Meal Maker that will save items that you eat on a regular basis so you don’t have to keep entering the info for each item. You can even export your info to spreadsheets for easy printing. There is a “Gold membership” area that requires payment. But, I have found the FREE resources more than helpful and full of great advice.
Although the Daily Plate is FREE, consider making a donation to LIVESTRONG or buying a wristband! It’s a GREAT cause!
